INOCULANTS
INOCULANTS FOR GRAY CAST AND NODULAR CAST IRON
To better control the stucture during the production of ductile and gray cast iron, inoculants are added to the base metal to increase the number of nucleation sies during the solidification of cast irob. these nucleation sites promote the preciptation of carbon as graphite, therefore, improving the mechanical and physical properties of cast iron.
